Solitary Tracks

"I think there are certain things that you can't find out about yourself, when you are constantly surrounded by people. I feel, like being uncomfortable is the best way to learn who you are. I really feel that way." (Kip Moore / The Bobby Bones Show, February 28, 2025)

Greatest Story

" It’s tempting, as an artist trying to make a name for himself, to lean into what is working in the industry - to chase the trends I hear on the radio and try to change my sound and my style to better ‘fit in’ to the Nashville game." (Matt Jordan / facebook.com, February 15, 2024)

becoming THE CROW

"... and then The Mocking Bird & The Crow, the one song where it transitions, he's playing the first half of that song and then he just walks off stage, gets to an SUV, rockstars over to the Roxy and then starts the Crow-portion. It's just gonna be epic." (Tracker Johnson, Manager Big Loud Records / via YouTube, January 12, 2024)

2023 Cult- or Pop-Star?

"He’s a star for sure, but the “pop” part of it is still a little beyond him — he’s never had a real crossover radio hit or a major TV appearance, and might not be interested in playing the game that would lead to those kind of looks anyway. For now at least, he’s likely content being America’s biggest cult star." (Billboard Magazine, Dezember 8, 2023)

Highways @ Royal Albert Hall

" I learned a long time ago to never look at a chart (out of my control) or pay any attention to the pack. We see & feel what’s happening over here. We appreciate the heck out of all you guys showing up & pouring love into us. That’s our focus. That’s what matters. Thanks Germany, Amsterdam, Birmingham, London, glasgow, Manchester, Belfast, Leeds, Newcastle."   (Kip Moore / Instagram, Mai 29, 2023)

The Life and Times of a Guitar Slinger

"Maybe it’s the realisation that music is a fulfilling creative outlet, but it doesn’t tell you good night as the moon settles into the sky. While often an equally dynamic duo, sometimes music is the master and the music creator is its submissive and 'The Guitar Slinger' masterfully shows this relationship through its lyrics." (Shelia Taylor / amplifythenoise.com, April 30, 2023)

Damn Love - The Project

"You neglect friendships, relationships, because I am so maniacal about making this [music] thing go, it’s been my only mistress. It’s been all-encompassing for me, and I haven’t been able to find that balance and I don’t know how to find that balance. So that’s where it becomes what that song is, where I’m like, ‘I want to run away but I love it so much I can’t.’" (Kip Moore / americansongwriter.com, April 28, 2023)

Damn Love

"I’m really sorry to leave last night with so many things left unsaid. ... Walking away has never really been that tough for me until now. Just know that I want to give you that life you want, but I’m just not sure I’m capable. Damn love, right?" (Kip Moore / Instagram, February 24, 2023)

The Gamble

"Kid gets a guitar, catches a bug, writes a few songs. Next thing he knows is, he's headed to Nashville with a dream in his head and a fire in his heart. Puts out a few songs, finds out the music industry is a big machine that doesn't give a damn about him."   (Matt Jordan / YouTube, Oktober 14, 2022)

Kip & Morgan

"This song is a demonstration of the power of a lust that cannot be fulfilled and an imagination so vivid that the lines of reality and fantasy are blurred. Moore’s rich vocals evoke an addictive, trance-like state as he considers the option to act on his desires." (Madeleine O'Connell / countrynow.com, August 26, 2022)

What's up with Kip Moore?

It has been over 2 years now (April 24th, 2012), that one of the most exciting new albums in recent years was released. ' Up All Night ' was the debut album by a new artist named Kip Moore . While the album cover was so ugly, it would have been overlooked in vinyl record bins, if they were still around, the musical content goes to prove, 'Never judge a book by its cover'! Kip brings a very unique voice that is both raspy and earthy along with a talent in writing deep songs about life which create big emotional pictures in the listeners mind. He had a hand in writing all 11 songs on the album and I would say, each one of them goes to prove, that country music lyrics have not (all) turned dumb in the wake of bro-country. The musical style walks the line between country and some heartland rock touches with a great feel for hooks and melodies without getting hung up in repeat-loops of the chorus. Already the first single from the album ' Somethin'...
